Classmates:
Though I didn\'t graduate with the \'62 class (dropped out, went
to work for my Dad), and returned the following year to graduate
with them.
Since I grew up with many in class of \'62, I still consider myself a
member of that class, (and the \'63 class too)! I remember 1st grade
at Woodlake school, Mrs. Lamb was my teacher, and even 6th
grade at Portland school (Mr. Kreisel--ugh, I didn\'t like HIM!!!) and,
of course, 7th at RHS and 8th and 9th at East Jr High.
Some of the \'62 grads were in my classes all the way through.
Anyway, I can\'t afford to come to the Reunion, I had a 2nd brain-tumor
surgery and ReHab (This time at Barrow NeuroScience Inst in Phx) and
the hosp. and ReHabHosp. co-pays are bleeding me dry!
Talked to Char and Mark Trewhella, hope to do a lunch with them before
they go back for the festivities, taking my thoughts with them.
Say hello from me to the kids at the party(s). Huh..........kids. Yeah.
Best, Ruth Yurich

Classmates:
Thank you so much for your concern, though I\'m
getting better every day, a little at a time, as they
say. My speech and swallowing are getting better
every day (Thank GOD!!!) And my sincere and heartfelt
thanks for the Prayers, they are always so welcome,
and very much appreciated!!!
Of course, you can share info with others, and please,
be sure to tell people that the brain tumor that I have
is NOT a malignant type. It is a meningioma, that seems
to be very strong, it keeps growing back, despite a series
of radiation treatments, too.
The first surgery that I had, in MN at HCMC (in 1990) took
more than 21 hours, and I was in that hospital and ReHab
for 65 days. This recent one at Barrow took much less time,
only about 7 hours, and the recovery came faster--no 8-day
coma this time! It\'s been an interesting ride, for sure!
(See attached photo) Me, after the first surgery, about 2 weeks.
That\'s about enough info this AM, it\'s breakfast time.
Stay well, keep in touch if you want to...
Best, RuthY
