November 25, 1944 Retired RN Married 2
Reading the profiles, I feel like I'm already catching up on alot of you. Memories are coming back, which is a good thing at our age, right?
After HS, I went to Nrthwstrn. Hosp. Nsg. Sch. (AbbottNrthwn. now). I met Paul Lundblad on a blind date, well, with 'sunglasses on', really, as I learned much about him from his cousin. Must have worked, as we were married the day after I graduated. (I had made a vow to myself & my parents I'd finish sch. 1st, & I did). In June, we had our 45th anniv.-not too bad for me a Norwegian & Paul a Swede. We've been super blessed with 2 wonderful sons, Peder & Eric. Peder is married to Anna, who is from Sweden & we're doubly blessed with 2 'Norwedish' grandchildren, Ella, 6 yr. & Evan, 4 yr. Our youngest, Eric, has his own business here in Atlanta. We're pleased they all live within 30 min. of us.
With Anna being from Sweden, that has been great motivation for Paul & I to finally get to Sweden-to meet Anna's remaining family, (both parents deceased), & some of her friends, & then go next door to Norway, where we met several of my cousins & saw where my grandfather was born & raised. We've been 2 times now to both countries, but last time, an amazing thing happened. We met at the cemetary where Anna's father was buried & joining us were her 3 stepbrothers & others, but between our 2 visits to Sweden, having gone through the family geneology, it was discovered that we are related to Anna's 3 stepbr., 6 generations back. And, in addition, in that tiny cemetary, it is the same one that Paul's greatgrandparents are also buried. And the little church that stands alongside the cemetary, the ironwork was done by Paul's greatgrandfather,as he was a blacksmith. As Anna's brother, Bjorn, said, 'that's incredible.' Sometimes God works in mysterious ways, maybe to us, but not to Him.
We've had 4 corporate transfers during our marriage, the last one was to Atlanta, 28 yrs. ago ( I'm still working on a southern accent), where we still reside, & love it. But 14 yrs. ago, a close friend, Dr. Ravi Zacharias, a Christian writerspeaker with syndicated radio prgm., "Let My People Think", born & raised in India, invited Paul to use his experince of admin. skills for the Ravi Zacharias Internatl. Ministry. These have probably been the most exciting , fulfilling yrs. of our lives-traveling the world & seeing its needs as never before. We;ve been to Calcutta & visited Mother Teresa's Hospital & Orphange, been to the Taj Mahal, I've gone parasailing in Bali, ridden an elephant in Chaing Mai, Thailand, & 2hrs. later attended an elegant banguet honoring Dr. Zacharais & his work & ministry  for orphanages with the Governor, US Ambassador, & Princess in attendence. Also been to Singapore, Dubai, Jakarta & other places  I thought I'd only read about.
I retired from nsg. 10 yrs. ago. My last 16 yrs. was in Home Health Nsg.-which was my favorite, & did some Hospice too, but then my back, said, time up. Now I have time to travel, be Grandma & volunteer with their activities, do church events, & other fun things. We are so blessed, happier than ever, & very thankful for good health. I look forward to seeing y'all at Reunion. And bless you if you've read all this rambling.

Retired Married 3
After graduation from college, I spent 10 years in the Air Force Medical Service Corp (hospital administration). I took 2 years off to go back to school at the University of Iowa to study accounting and then back to the healthcare field where I served as chief financial officer at 2 hospitals in Illinois. In 1982 we moved back to Minnesota where I have been involved with the development and implementation of a hospital cost accounting system.
I married Mary Lou 47 years ago. We have 3 sons and 4 grand children. I retired in 2009 and now enjoy time at home and golf.

October 17, 1944 retired flight attendant Single
After high school, I attended the U of M for a quarter and ran out of money. So, I went to school at night and worked various jobs: retail sales, modeling, receptionist, switchboard operator and "flying". I was a Northwest Airlines stewardess/flight attendant for 42 1/2 years, 40 years longer than I thought. I loved my job, traveled the world, met great people and had some fabulous experiences. I worked with some of my friends family members: Jenny Fredrickson and Jean Etter's fathers and Betty Pope's brother. I traveled 6 continents that I would never have been able to do on my own.

I have to thank RHS teacher Jim Carlson for the world history and geography lessons that made my career more interesting. I also have to thank another teacher, Frank Curry, for helping me overcome my fear of speaking in front of crowds. During my first speech in class, I tore my notes into tiny pieces. When I finished and looked down, it looked like it had snowed where I was standing. Thankfully, we all had a great laugh over that one. He encouraged me to compete in serious interpretation and I benefited greatly in my job, my life and the 4 years I served on Minnetonka Country Club board of directors. I became the board's first woman president. I was a little daunted, but very proud.

I have been retired for 5 years, yet I travel almost every month, visiting family, friends, skiing in Montana, golfing somewhere warmer than MN in winter and an occasional new destination. It's a crazy lifestyle but It definitely works for me.

Okay, I must confess that in 1962, I was one of the 4 that painted the "62 in the RHS parking lot. Lucky for us, we didn't get into trouble. Now, who put that life size deer on my lawn and the lantern on the door handle back in the 1960's?

Looking forward to seeing and sharing with everyone at the reunion.

December 23, 1944 retired/maint/hvac Widowed 4
Summarize 53 years in this space?  Hmmm, I'll get back to you on that.  But, first, I am a great procrastinator.  Don't know if that is good or bad.  Definitely useful at times.  After grad day spent the summer babysitting my two sister's kids.  Useful knowledge but I didn't know it at the time.  Went into the US Army in Sept '62; served for most of the three years in Baumholder, Germany.  I was 'Radar' in the Sgt Mgr's Office for most of that time.  1970 I enrolled in General College at the U Of Mn (Mpls), transferred to Liberal Arts in '72 in a new BES program.  Then in '73 the U shut down during spring quarter due to political unrest in the country.  By this time I had a wife (1966)and son Wade, (b.1/13/70 so out of school and money I worked a small trucking business in Mpls for a decade or so.  Divorced in '73 and remarried two years later.  2nd wife passed away last year, Mar '15.  We have three kids, Gennie (Shrewsbury, Massachusettes), Joshua (Blaine, Mn) and Alexander (Mpls, Mn---Mgr with Black Sheep Pizza in case you are in the airport's newest location).  Haven't been outside of Mn for a long long time.  Lived in Santa Barbara, Ca for two months but needed retinal surgery (again) so went to VA Hosp in Mpls for the surgery which has held since 1967.  Always want to go back out West.....maybe one day.

2nd wife and I bought house in St Paul where she was from.  First tho we lived in rental houses, hobby farms Shoreview and Isanti, Lino Lakes house, and then bought in St Paul's Midway (Frogtown) in '85 where I still live.  Kids are grown.  House needs major rehab work but it is on my to do lists.

Used to camp, fish, and in general enjoy the outdoors but not much anymore.  Wife was a COPD sufferer so we pretty much stayed at home where I worked in HVAC and maintenance.  Still do work for landlords on their rental properties tho I retired on SS about 3 yrs ago.  Also, been gardening and turned front yard into a garden and made a boulegarden by the street.  Fun to do.  Wife was a comuter geek/gamer and she taught me some things but I was a bad student and could tire her out with my ah, 'slow to learn' progress. Luckily I picked up some things from her.

oh, BTW, graduated from the U of Mn in about 1991.  When I left in '73 I had like 15 credits needed for graduation.  Always planned on going back for the degree...kept putting it off. (Procrastinator)  GI Bill expired.  Anyway, the U began a program at Central High in St Paul,  College credit classes for low cost to people in my situation.  Got the 15 needed credits thru night school and put on the robe and cap and had the family come to the graduation.  Speaker was Hilary Clinton too.  I didn't really go into what I had majored/minored in but the 3 years I spent at the U in '70-'73, I consider the best 3 yrs of my life.  I  was even a Teaching Ass't in General College Family Studies for two years which I enjoyed.

Now, widowed, it is getting time to uncover the fishing boats, canoe, kayak, clean up the gear and put away the hammers, drills, and other tools and get back up North or out on the Rivers.  Maybe run into you there.  Take care.

October 29, 1944 Retired Flight Attendanat Single
I was a Flight Attendant for 40 years (37 years with TWA and 3 years with American Airlines after AA bought TWA).  I have traveled the world extensively.  My most favorite photo taken is of me sitting in John Wayne's lap in a cocktail lounge in Hong Kong.  Now I just want to stay home and hike and fly fish in these gorgeous Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
